DS Cockers and Phoenix Cockers is a joint venture in producing quality American Cocker Spaniels.  Each breeding has a common goal... To produce excellent specimens in accordance with AKC and The American Spaniel Club guidelines.

As much as we would like to, we are unable to keep all the puppies that we produce.  This is to your advantage.

We will hold back the best specimens for showing.  Although the remaining puppies will be place in pet homes, their quality is not lacking in any way.

All puppies are raised in a home environment with very close observation and with the utmost care.  Their mothers are given the best quality food and supplements to ensure that healthy puppies arrive.  Sonograms are done during the pregnancy with two purposes in mind:  One;  To monitor the progress of the pregnancy (the dates are correct and to count the number of puppies to be expected to be delivered.)  (Counts are important!  We don't want to miss anyone!)  Two;  To make sure that all puppies in utero are developing without complications and will be delivered healthy.

Bearing this in mind, our expenses for each healthy puppy goes up.  We believe that our prices are very fair and ask that bartering tactics be deferred when enquiring about the puppies. 

Prices for puppies are as follows:  Pet puppies starting at $650 for males and $750 for females.  Pets are sold on a spay/neuter contract only.
                                                              Show puppies start at $850 (references required) contract and co-ownership may be necessary in certain cases.

We also have strict guidelines when it comes to releasing puppies to their new owners.  NO puppy will leave our premises before they are 8 weeks of age.  (There are NO exceptions to this rule.)  These little guys need time to adjust and we need the time to determine which puppies will go to show home.  At times this may mean that they will not be released until they are 10 to 12 weeks of age.

All puppies have had their first set of shots and worming.  Phoenix Cockers is proud to offer the new AKC CAR system.  This wonderful device is interested between the shoulder blades of all pups up for adoption.  There will be an additional fee for the chip and registration to AKC.  Currently that fee is $12.50 for the chip and $12.50 for the registration part with AKC.  There are so many dishonest people out there that do not respect other  people's property nor the feeling of the pet owners or the welfare of your new puppy.  With this device provides instant identification of your loved one and is much smaller and easier to insert.
