Purchase Information.....
Available puppies will be listed
in the Litter Box and will be updated with new arrivals periodically. If
you are placed on a waiting list, I will contact you as soon as puppies become
available.
Each litter is bred to produce only the best quality American Cocker Spaniels.
Each Sire and Dam are "CERF" tested. Sires have OFA certificates on
files. Copies of these papers are available upon request.
All frequently used males have DNA on file with the AKC. Each litter will
be evaluated for show potentials prior to offering any for sale to the
public. This may mean that the puppies will be at least 10 to 12 weeks old
before being offered for sale.
Sorry for
the wait. All puppies that are not of "Show Potential",
will be offered to pet homes on a spay/neuter agreement. Once proof of spaying
or neutering is received, AKC papers will be mailed directly to the new owners.
At times, I will sell with open registration to a Show home. Individuals
will be screened and references will be required. No puppy will be sold to
any individual for the purpose of breeding with any other breed but American
Cocker Spaniels or to any puppy mill per the guidelines of the American Spaniel
Club. My lines consist of top producing and winning Cocker Spaniels in the
country and it is my responsibility to protect myself and other individuals that
strive to achieve the same excellence.
Each puppy shall receive a check up prior to leaving. A certificate of
health will then accompany the puppy along with shot records. The new
puppy owner will be required to take the puppy to a vet within 72 hours of
purchase along with the certificate of health and vaccination records.
This way we all are in agreement that you have indeed purchased a sound puppy.
Cocker Spaniels are the most joyful of breeds with the happiest of
attitudes. Most carry a constant smile on their face. My goal is to
find families that will commit to their new puppy for the lifetime of the dog
and keep that smile going and tail wagging. In order to determine if a new
puppy will fit in with you and your family, I do require some background
information. Occasionally, I have found that a cocker puppy is not the
right choice for some families.
As regards to shipping, yes I do ship for a fee. Prices will vary
depending on flight availability and driving distance to the nearest
airport. The weather is a crucial issue. The best months tend to be
March, April, May and September through November. Fees for shipping must
be prepaid prior to releasing the puppy.
A deposit towards the purchase price of a puppy will hold the puppy of your
choice. This is nonrefundable. Money order and cash is preferred.
Refund policy: Puppies are
guaranteed for the first 72 hours after purchase for any health issues.
However; a vet exam along with written recommendations from a licensed
veterinarian must accompany the puppy upon return. (This should have already
occurred as stated in the above purchase agreement.) Once the puppy has
been examined by my veterinarian and he has concurred with the reason of
illness, a refund of the purchase amount only will be promptly reimbursed.
Routine veterinary care is the sole responsibility of the new owner. We
provide first shots and worming only, unless otherwise specified.
In the event that said puppy has been injured while in the care of the new
owner, there shall be NO REFUND
of any monies and the new owner shall be responsible for all veterinary care and
expenses that incur due to said injuries. We understand that accidents do
happen, but there will be no exceptions.
With this said, please understand that taking on a new puppy into your home is a
great responsibility and should not be taken lightly. If there are young
children in the home, please teach proper handling techniques and supervise all
toddler/puppy contact to prevent injury to your new puppy. Proper respect
must be taught, not assumed. Puppies can be ruined by harsh treatment at
the hands of young children and rough housing should be discouraged at all
times!
Thank you
